Singapore Armed Forces to bolster ‘digital intelligence’ workforce

Singapore’s Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) has introduced updates concerning its efforts to develop infrastructure and a talented workforce for the brand new Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

In a media launch, MINDEF stated it should set up a Digital Ops-Tech Centre (DOTC) and a Centre of Excellence for Cyber Vary (CCR) to stimulate functionality growth of the SAF within the digital and cyber frontier.

The DOTC will companion with the Defence Expertise Neighborhood (DTC), different governmental companies, academia, and the trade to reinforce navy response to new operational necessities within the digital area by creating a “digital core nicely versed in information science and synthetic intelligence (AI) applied sciences”, MINDEF stated.
