Loon Census Set for Saturday July 16th


loons courtesy Adirondack Loon CenterThe Adirondack Loon Center has introduced their Annual Loon Census is ready for Saturday, July 16th. The public can take part by signing up for to look at a lake, then visiting it from 8 to 9 am, counting the loons, and reporting their observations again to the Loon Center.

After the Census the general public is invited to the Adirondack Loon Center for an open home to fulfill the workers, drop off census kinds, study new initiatives and upcoming displays.

A neighborhood artist is portray the background for the upcoming “Year in the Life of a Loon” photograph mural contained in the Loon Center. A sequence of pictures will spotlight seasonal adjustments in a loon’s life to information guests via corresponding academic displays.
