Brazilian Akaer develops multirole UAV

The privately owned Brazilian aerospace firm Akaer Engenharia has developed the Albatross household of multimission, multipayload, medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial automobiles (MALE UAVs).

Akaer, partnered with SENAI CIMATEC analysis institute and Stella Tecnologia, carried out a conceptual research of the Albatross after a 2019 request by a Middle East and North Africa army buyer for a long-range search-and-rescue (SAR) and maritime patrol UAV, the corporate’s chief operations officer, Fernando Coelho Ferraz, informed
on 20 July.
