Defense of the Hudson Exhibit Opens in Newburgh


Hudson Highlands Reenactment (courtesy Crossroads of the Revolution National Heritage Area)The Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site in Newburgh, NY’s,  newest exhibit, “The Defense of the Hudson,” explores the significance of the Hudson River to the Revolutionary War effort.

This exhibit, together with different displays – “Unpacked & Rediscovered: Selections from Washington’s Headquarters’ Collection,” “George Washington: Perspectives on His Life and Legacy,” “The Preservation of Washington’s Headquarters,” and the “Junior Curator Project 2020″are free with Museum admission.

On February 18th, nineteenth and twentieth, from midday till 3 pm every day, Washington’s Headquarters will rejoice General George Washington’s 291st birthday. Attendees can meet General and Mrs. Washington, and revel in historical past, music, demonstrations, and a take-home craft.
